Dr. Benjamin Brown was born in England and came to the states at age 10. He grew up in the Northeast and graduated with a BS in mechanical engineering from Boston University. He then pivoted to Tufts Dental School, also in Boston, graduating in 2006. Having moved frequently as a child, attending 9 schools by age 12, it became second nature to experience new places and adventures.

After dental school he joined the US Public Health Service as a way to experience the Pacific Northwest while caring for the underserved Native American population. Imagining that he would arrive into dense evergreen surrounds, it was quite a surprise to touch down in Redmond airport’s high desert. Dr. Brown enjoyed serving in Warm Springs and the opportunity it gave him to provide care and community outreach while gaining clinical experience. While there, he was promoted to acting chief dentist for the clinic. He has since been in private practice as an associate on both coasts.

Dr. Brown regularly studies continuing education that is pertinent to his patients’ needs and which aids in maintaining proficiency in contemporary dentistry. He uses 15 years of experience and evidence-based practice to provide quality dental care. He and his wife, Marta, have called Portland home since 2014. They have 2 children, Desmond, age 4, and Elliott, age 6. The Browns love taking advantage of Oregon’s geographic diversity by enjoying all manner of outdoor activities. Dr. Brown also loves road biking around Portland, cooking, and playing guitar to keep him occupied on rainy winter days.

Our dental assistant, Sarah, graduated from Apollo College and is licensed as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant with X-Ray Certification. Sarah is both highly-skilled and compassionate and will ensure that you are well cared for during your visit.

Jennifer, our office manager, has been at this office since 1997. Jennifer is very detail-oriented; she will greet you on the phone, schedule your appointments, and help you understand your treatment plan and dental insurance benefits. You will find Jennifer’s knowledge and level of service to be exceptional.

Marita is our hygienist. Marita received hygiene training at Portland Community College. She strives to offer thorough and gentle care that is tailored to meet each person’s specific needs based on individualized risk assessment.
